Product Description
Exquisite Quality: Hand-Selected Line-Caught "Tachiuo"
Indulge in the pinnacle of Japanese seafood with our premium Largehead Hairtail, known as Tachiuo. Unlike net-caught fish, our hairtails are individually line-caught (Tsuru-machi). This traditional method ensures that the delicate, mirror-like silver skin remains flawless and the flesh stays firm and bruise-free, preserving the highest possible quality for sashimi and gourmet cooking.
Product Highlights:
  • Pristine Condition: Because they are caught one by one, each fish retains its stunning metallic luster and pristine appearance—a mark of true luxury.
  • Elegant Flavor: Tachiuo is famous for its delicate, white flesh that is remarkably soft and sweet, with a refined fat content that isn't overpowering.
  • Versatile Texture: Enjoy a satisfying contrast between the tender meat and the flavorful skin, which adds a unique depth when seared or grilled.
Flavor Profile:
A sophisticated white fish with a mild, clean taste and a hint of sweetness. The texture is velvety and light, making it a favorite among seafood connoisseurs who appreciate subtle elegance.
Recommended Culinary Uses:
  • Aburi Sashimi (Seared): Lightly torch the skin to release the aromatic oils while keeping the center raw for a melt-in-your-mouth experience.
  • Shioyaki (Salt-Grilled): The classic Japanese preparation. Simple salt-grilling enhances the natural sweetness and turns the skin crispy and golden.
  • Meunière or Tempura: Its delicate flakes hold up beautifully to light frying, offering a luxurious mouthfeel.
  • Tachiuo-Sushi: A prized topping in high-end Edomae sushi restaurants.
Product Details:
  • Source: Hand-selected from the coastal waters of Japan.
  • Method: 100% Line-caught (Single hook and line).
  • Condition: Shipped with extreme care to protect the delicate silver scales.

  • Final Capture & Remaining Balance: Once the actual weight is confirmed after sourcing and shipping from Japan, we will capture the exact amount for the final, correct price.
